While out shredding yesterday evening in preparation of the good Lords Holy day of September first I apparently shredded this rattler in half. After completing my chores I was checking on some water I had going and stumbled across the back half of the snake. I looked up and saw the front half crawling away like no big deal. This was at least 10 mins after I got done shredding. When approached the front half was still very much alive and even struck at me a few times. Have found large parts of Rattlesnakes in Square Bales (loading them from the field) before....but never anything still alive.
Pretty wild.
Maybe it was on PCP.
