These file sizes I posted are from 168 KB to 325 KB due to me being on Hughes Net and taking far to long to upload onto the forum. The originals are 11.5 MB and up to 15.3 MB file sizes. The only one of the originals that is a little blurry is #3 and it looks good in an 8x10 that is the entry size. It is one other one I am considering leaving out of the group of 5. That deer was over 180 yards or so away, so it was cropped a lot to get to the view I wanted. It is just not as crisp as I would have liked it to be but I like the post and that he is looking directly at me.

Thanks again everyone. #4 is my favorite also. I like #5 but that is because I am a hunter and picked it for that reason. It is really not what a judge will look for in a photo, but I tend to put in photos that I like.

Photo quality, lighting, clarity, and contrast are perfect in every way on #4. That's the one I would roll with!

This one, because of his pose, healthy body & perfect antler coloration/condition, plus he's obviously an older buck. Tall grass & evergreen could also represent almost anywhere in Texas except for Trans-Pecos maybe.

There's one photo of yours from years past where an absolutely magnificent mature buck w/light colored antlers(if I remember correctly) is standing on the bank of a pond or creek, while his doe is sipping water below. Know the one I'm referring to?

Best of luck in the contest.

#1 and #4 are my favorites...sharp focus, contrast, balance, composition. Great work!

Man, that is tough.
Great pics.
I couldn’t bring myself to choose which ones to remove.
Good luck in your decision.

Nice photos ALL....don't get me wrong....but for a 'Contest' you'll need to bring your best .

I agree with this. I like #1 as well because of the depth of field, but between 1 and 2 I'd go with 2.

#2,3 seem photographically the most balanced ( Rule of 1/3's), but they are all excellent!
