Bigger city goes to Gary IN, for a smaller city, I can't decide between Lawton OK and Bridgeport CT. My sister was a judge's clerk in Bridgeport so that might be tipping the scale a bit.

I’ve traveled pretty extensively.
Worst place ever is Gary, Indiana. The entire city looks like the old chemical plant the bad guys hung out at in “Robocop”
Second was Cincinnati OH.
Third was Dayton OH. More strip clubs per capital than any other city on earth. If it wasn’t a strip club it was a pawn shop.
For just plain nasty to go bourbon street in New Orleans A big +1 on Gary, IN. It's a huge s*hit hole.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Detroit and Chicago (Gary, In would be like the out skirts of Chicago) if you are talking strictly bad cities. For traffic it would be Houston and Boston as toss ups and Denver a close second.

Haven't traveled a ton, not at all to the northeast or west coast, but in my limited experience nothing beats Houston. I will add that Austin is well on it's way up the list & I wasn't crazy about either Denver or Albuquerque. I also think Killeen has earned a mention here

I’m really surprised Nashville TN has not been mentioned I always liked Nashville, Memphis is the dump of Tennessee. I don’t care for Chicago at all. I also learned in my travels that any city or town in Iowa will consistently have the ugliest women in America.

Not too many places I haven't been all around this country and there are some real dandy places in every state that are just garbage holes but...Gary, Indiana is one place that I locked the doors when coming to a stop light.
