Wish I had a good place to go that didn't require a guide service... but alas it isn't so.

I'm killing pigs every weekend with my 300 Ham'r. I'm using the 130gr Wilson/Speer hot-cor bullets with good success.

I'm normally shooting +/-10 per week lately and they are rooting the heck out of the ranch. Mostly killing them with the Lehigh 125gr CC3

Here's a couple of decent boars I shot this month

I'm interested on reliable magazines for the 300 Ham'r. The D&H magazines are hit or miss it seems like.

AGM Rattler V2 640/50, GREAT thermal, small, lightweight and very good image quality.

I run Lancer 20rd Blackout mags and have never had a magazine related issue. The new Gen 3 MagPulls are probably good, but I haven't tried them yet.

I can second that the Lancer's have worked great for me with zero issues

Ditto on the Lancer mags! I have fired more rounds than I could ever count and I have yet to have a single failure.

Thank you. I've been looking for a good thermal scope.

DJ, Midway has the 500 pack of TNTs on clearance if you need some.

[Linked Image]Hello guys,

New guy here. This is my third 300 HAMR I’ve build. Somewhat lightweight weight 16” dedicated hunting stick. Put it together week before my hunting trip. Sight it in with 125 gr TNT and worked up a latter or 130 gr HC and 125 gr TCC. Shot a doe and a buck at 60 yards w/125 gr TCC. No real terminal data to report, but they’ve dropped where they stood.
My other builds are dedicated 16” thermal setup and 11.3” SBR truck gun.

My daughter is home from college and we went out this morning. She got her first deer at 170 yards using a WC Ultralight Ranger shooting a 110gr CC bullet loaded over 25.0gr of W680. I have never seen a deer go down quicker. The CC bullets are devastating. It was a good morning.

Alan - congratulation on your daughter's successful hunt. If there are any doubters...her outfit proves that deer are indeed color blind! smile

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you. He definitely looked at her and tried to figure out what he was seeing. Seeing her joy made it all worthwhile. Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Does anyone know if the 300 ham'r brass on Wilson Combat's sight is actually starline or SIG? The picture on the end of the case shows starline, but I need to make sure that's what it actually is before ordering so I can match a load I developed earlier.

I think he said earlier it was Sig, but don't quote me on that.

I'm pretty sure all the UP cases for sale at Starline mfg, the Sig mfg cases will all have a WC headstamp and they are what we primarily load ammo with.
