Amazon recently put red dawn on the prime list, free to watch for anyone with prime. I'm watching it right now, Wolverines!

The original 1984 version

Also if you pay attention to the translation from the Mexican officer in the beginning, you will see a jab at the 4473 forms

Not to get picky, but the guy was supposed to be Cuban, not Mexican.

Blasphemy!

It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

Red Dawn with no mention of Jennifer Grey or Lea Thompson?
Something is wrong here.

Soviet Union suffers worst wheat harvest in 55 yrs. Labor and food riots in Poland. Soviet troops invade. Cuba and Nicaragua troop strength goals of 500,000. El Salvador and Honduras fall.
Green Party gains control of West German Parliament. Demands withdrawal of nuclear weapons from European soil.
Mexico plunged into revolution. NATO dissolves. United States stands alone.

Can’t tell you how many times this plot played out in my backyard as a kiddo. Rotten pears and plums were grenades and missiles, bikes became T-72s and ZSUs.

Wolverines!!!

It has, but I still love the old 80s and early 90s action movies I grew up on . Yes, John Wick looks really cool, but the action movies made today don’t appeal to me as much. Maybe has more to do with my age than anything. That and every other movie now is based on a comic book or some such..

Predator, Terminator, Rambo, Rocky, Young Guns, Point Break...
