is the Ruger the only 45colts that you can shoot high octane Loads? I know the cowboy loads are fun to shoot but want something hotter for pig whacking Freedom Arms and Rugers are for hot loads. However, If you propel a 45 caliber 255 grain LSWC at 900 fps it will take any pig or deer alive in Texas. That is a standard pressure load, not a Ruger Only. Heck man, you have my Bisley. lol

Beautiful!! I have always had that same affinity for "western frame" single actions and have owned (and still do) many over the years.

Beautiful!! I have always had that same affinity for "western frame" single actions and have owned (and still do) many over the years. Me too. I just can't seem to get away from them.

I love 45 Colts. Rugers, Ubertis, Piettas, whatever. I bought this one yesterday and kind of like it. This is a Traditions (Pietta) Bill Tilghman model. Pretty sure Tilghman didn't carry such a revolver but it is nice that Traditions realizes there is more to the West than Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday and the OK Corral.
