Anyone taken a T/CR22 for a spin yet. Someone said it’s looks awfully close to the 10/22. One day I’d like to start buying the nephews and my sons their 1st 22’s. So far the only one I love is a bolt action CZ but I’ve got time

While I do think it looks nice price seems kinda high. Now the right deal I’d be willing to try one out.

And, over the life of the gun you can tweak it a bit at a time until it’s dead on accurate.

Yup. Proven platform. All others are imitations. More aftermarket parts available than any other rimfire rifle in the world.

Years ago, "Field and Stream" had a small article about it. It told of the numbers. Take every semi-automatic. 22 lr produced by all other manufacturers, combine their sales, and it still wouldn't be as many as the number of 10/22's sold. It's like the Chevy 350, the Ford 302, the John Deere 4440, they just got it right!

I have to agree with prevailing opinion here. T/C makes really good stuff and I have no doubt this is a great gun as long as you want to leave it as is. The only problem with T/C is little to no aftermarket support. For me personally, it wouldn't matter because I wouldn't mind leaving it stock but I already have a 10/22 along with four other .22 rifles and a .22 mag rifle. I would have to get a really good price to buy another one.

This is my favorite rifle, made in 1969, the year I graduated and went to boot. It looks fairly innocuous but it’s not. These old receivers were anodized, not painted. That old pencil barrel doesn’t know it’s not supposed to shoot and it has a secret.

You wouldn’t believe how accurate it is. Took out a honey bee at 50 with two witnesses.

Let me ask you this, when did they stop anodizing them?

Oh gosh, a very long time ago. The pure aluminum billets got expensive and the cheaper billets would finish unevenly, so they started painting them. There’s no difference except the finish.

The most accurate 22 I have ever owned was a TC Classic. If this one is close to that one then yes it is worth it. I let a nephew get it for Graduation and told him if he ever gets rid of it I want it back and will buy it from him.

Yeah I felt a little bad about it when it exploded in yellow dust. I was showing off a little. The two guys watching through spotting scopes went nuts.

I do carry honey in my range bag but it’s for flies.

That is a 1969 model Ruger 10/22 with a few of my tweaks.

This one is very very accurate. At 25 it’ll shoot ten rounds through the original hole without expanding the hole. Easy. At 50, it’ll expand the hole a little but still easy to one hole ten rounds. At 100 it starts to spread so I switch to my Win 52.

Had the same rifle and gave it to my brother, one of the finest 22's ever built.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

100 yards with a 10/22. “Minor mods”. Wish I didn’t get bored and sold it off. But that accurate I didn’t even have to try.

Hey J, what ammo? I shoot subsonic exclusively. I’m thinking I may need different ammo at 100. I just never tried to develop a hundred yard profile. I need to buy and test some supersonic ammo.

I was using cci for the center target and someone at the range gave me some match ammo for the top right. Wish I could remember what it was but I was mighty impressed with the cci alone and that was even tighter.

At 100 it did get trickier. At 75 or less you could one hole it.
