Sonic is okay, not in the #1 status, Sonic's quality varies from place to place. But the best Sonic burgers are at the Sonic in Brownfield, or at least they were the last time we stopped there.

Whataburger, they have the same issue, quality varies from location to location, but add the Hatch green chilis and they are OUTSTANDING, but still not as good as the Smokey the Bear Restaurant in Capitan, NM..

DQ, there is a reason they keep shutting the doors and opening as some other fast food joint, they are individually ran, and the quality control is non existent.

McDonalds, if the grandkids want McDonalds, on that day McDonalds is better than anything else available.

I like Whataburger over any other fast food drive through hamburger. I can eat In and Out too if I'm not driving followed by Wendy's but I'll almost always choose the spicy chicken instead at that point.

Coz you’re doing it wrong. Mustard AND mayo. Have them GRILL the onions and the buns. Add cheese and jalapeños if you like.

Ok, a little honesty here: I buy a lot more Burger King Whoppers than Whataburgers because I get the 2 for 1 coupons every week, it seems. Otherwise, would be Whataburger or McDonald's $1 or $2 dollar burgers. The eateries get perty slim on the way out to Seymour. Sonics yeah, but I don't care for the car hop thing. Dairy Queen has a quality control problem, as DC commented and the one in Olney is and has always been very s-l-o-w.

I agree on the double quarter pounder with cheese. We have a sonic right down the street and it’s decent, but DQP with cheese is hard to beat.

I wondered if these folks only have fast food. There are plenty of mom and pop joints here in NE TX with better burgers than Whataburger.

And if I must have fast food I'm going to Braums.

No WB's in SC either. 5 Guys. BTW I'l be going to WB tomorrow. May give that grilled chicken a look.

I’m working in Mobile Alabama for a while. Found a brandy new Whataburger. Life is good.

Whataburger is the best fast food burger in Texas IMO, love the buns and fries too.

The A1 Thick & Hearty is my favorite, sure wish they’d leave it on the freakin’ menu.

Mushroom Swiss is very good.

If not one of those two, it’s a double meat double cheese all the way with extra mustard extra onions add bacon grilled onions grilled jalapenos toasted buns both sides. Whatasized, cup of gravy, and 5 jalapenos on the side. I’m about to go get one.

DQ is way to spotty location to location on quality and cleanliness IMO....

And they aren't open 24/7......

Thank you. I'm the guy who first started burgers in Braums. They hired me away from Jack-in-the-box to do it. Worked for them for two years over all the stores in Texas and then Bill Braums fired me because his son-in-law just graduated from college. I was fired on a Friday and his son-in-law was sitting in my office on Monday morning.

WB=With in 5 min. (This excludes stephenville on Tuesday and Thursday night, someone is probably passed out in drive through)

That is like putting BBQ sauce on a smoked briquet, because it isn't good enough on it's own merits, covering it up with condiments to make it taste better doesn't make much sense. Sounds like you like the gravy, jalapenos and ketchup, not the burger.
