Got my first a month ago. Even tho I'm only 48, my brother is a bit older and he had pre-cancerous polyps. The chit they give you to chit really sucks, but I'm glad I had it done. Doctor says it was a success story cuz what they found was on the verge of becoming cancer.

My poor kids have to start at 40 years old! Hopefully by then they'll figure out a better way to clear your gut. The procedure itself is nothing.

then BOOM

I've had two all clear, knock on wood. Now it's time for another.

Colo-Guard last 3 times. First one at the VA.

Had my first last year at 63. Had 3 small noncancerous polyps removed. Best nap I ever had! Coulda got on all fours and put out a house fire the night before!

I had one last year and the doctor found a polyp too big for him to remove. Had the operation and they removed
8 inches of my colon. Will be having another test very soon. It would have turned into cancer had I waited.

In the last 5 years we'd had 4 family friends pass away from colo-rectal cancer. All would have been caught with routine colonoscopies.

Last year my dad had to have a small section removed - looked suspicious on the colonoscopy and looked suspicious on further scans. Turned out to be scar tissue combined with a crappy doctor that attached a part of some internal organ to his colon when repairing a stab wound in his early 20s (40+ years ago)...had been giving him fits for all this time...thinking he just had irritable bowels. Very glad it wasn't cancer.

turning 50 soon. Not looking forward to this.

I found that mixing the cocktail with Poweraide made the taste somewhat bearable ... just FYI

They gave me that carp that killed Michael Jackson. Stuff is pretty dang awesome. Out and back up instantly, no groggy feeling at all.

But... when I woke up there was a hot blonde woman about my age standing over me smiling at me. For a split second I was wondering WTH I had done! Then I recognized her as my anesthesiologist. Sheeeeeoooo

Turning 60 I send particles in a container of liquid in the mail, Everybody's been happy with the results.. Y'all are doing it wrong.

Be another 2.5 years before I go in again. Just had one at 50 and next is at 55 ..

Going for number 3 in March. I'm 48 and on the short watch list because of some polyps the first time around.

I had one a couple of years ago after putting it off for several years. The prep wasn't pleasant, but mixing the Miralax with Gatorade made it bearable. After all the time spent dreading it and stressing about it, all I got out of it was some of the best sleep I've ever had. I'm on the 10 year plan so I've got about 8 years to go to the next one.

Think i have had 3, it is a piece of cake nothing to it. Just a shame when you hear of someone passing due to colon cancer. So preventable.

Probably due for rnd 2, got about 5 packages of that ICE gum for the 1st one drinking that stuff, helped by burning out all my senses.

Someone once said mixing it with Vodka helped.

I have had two the next one is due in a little over a year. First one was at age 50 they found nothing so 10 years on the last one they removed and tested a polyp so I'm on the five year plan. I'll figure out exactly when to schedule it at my next annual physical.
