One of the best & worst inventions ever!

I was thinking this weekend after cutting down a small tree with a power saw how thankful men were when they became available. It also reminded me how some of our nation's greatest forests would soon disappear as a result. The same if true of the tractor, which played a large role in creation of the Dust Bowl back in the 1920's. Farmers had plowed just about everything in the Central US that could be plowed when a ten-year drought hit and turned the area into agricultural wasteland.
