Pistol either on me or in the truck, 6.8 AR in the truck for more reach. I can't count the number of times I've been caught flat-footed and it royally sucks to watch a yote go running off.

When I have a firearm with me doing normal chores it is extremely rare I've had the need. But, when I don't have a firearm it isn't unusual that I could put one to good use.

I always keep one in the truck or on the ATV. Never know when an opportunity for a hog/predator will present itself.

I pretty much carry some sort of firearm on me no matter where i go. Unless there is a 30.06 sign, you best believe i have my conceal carry, and when in the field its accompanied by my old 30-30 and/or shotgun. I've had my fair share of close encounters with pigs

After having a pit run my azz up a tree on a fence line, I carry a Vepr-12 and my sig p320 now when I walk my little place. Having a firearm close and not need it beats the alternatives.

ALWAYS!!!! This year, Friday before opening day of gun season, my son (7) and I went to make sure the road to my stand was passable while the sun was still up. Had my rifle and an AR in the truck but neither were loaded (ammo back at camp). Of course that's got to be the time a lone boar crossed paths with us and stopped 40 yards away right in the road. All I had was my carry gun, 9mm. I think the boar felt an itch or something when I hit him, he jumped a little then trotted off.

Recently got a gym membership, strange folks! I like to show up the roid zombies with my full motion curls with the 55lb. bells. Not their cheater short stroked light weights. It's holarious.
