I took my new P365 to the tac bay at my local range to get a feel for it and check the function of the gun and magazines. I ended up firing 150ish rounds of Blazer 115 FMJ, Winchester white box 115 FMJ, and Hornady Critical Duty, which is what I carry in my defense pistols. I need a thumb transplant after loading both 10-round magazines over 10 times. Other than that, the gun was a pleasant surprise to shoot. I had no malfunctions and once I got comfortable behind it, it shot pretty damn good. It took a couple of mags to get used to the grip and trigger, but by the end of my range trip, I was running the plate rack from 20 yards with no problems. The X-Ray 3 tritium sights are excellent! It does not have a match trigger by any means, but it's a decent trigger compared to my other factory handguns. The trigger feels lighter and shorter than the factory trigger on my XDS 9mm, with a crisper break. My other pocket gun was a Ruger LCP 2, and although an improvement from the original LCP, it didn't compare to the P365 in the shootability department. Overall I'm very pleased with the P365 in size, reliability and shootability. I'll add some pics for size comparison. I don't have a ton of handguns to compare but I'll post what 9mm I do have. Springfield 9mm 1911, Springfield XD Mod2 Service, Springfield XDS 9mm, and the Sig P365.
Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

Let me add to this report. I just got one too and was going to start this same thread. This is an outstanding pocket gun. I ran about 250 rounds down it. Win 115g Federal 115g. Hornady 124 HP and Speer 124 gold dots. No failures of any kind. I loved the trigger. I alternated between this my 226 and 229 both 9mm. I was more accurate with the 365 which surprised me. I am about a 6.5/10 pistol shooter with the full size guys but felt like 7.5/10 with the little guy. I’m no expert or competition guy but Ok shooter. Like the mag with the pinky extension a little more. Didn’t have thumb issue but I have a lula loader. Have a desantis superfly holster. Looks like cell phone print in pocket. It was easy to break down and clean like all Sigs. I am lefty and swapping mag release was quick and easy after watching YouTube video. I have the Talon grips on mine (the way this one came) and they are good. Always felt like i had a handle on it. With the 115s felt recoil was light. With the self defense rounds a little snappy. Had a 938 I sold before getting this and it was snappier even though heavier. Overall I give it 2 thumbs up. Was most pleased and it exceeded my expectations

I need to add---- I did have drag marks on my primers. Not as severe as I've seen in other posts about the P365, but obvious marks. My gun's born-on date is 12/12/2018, for what it's worth.
Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

Agree with the reviews above....mine has a May born date, I have over 2500 rounds through it. I’m a Glock fanatic, but this pistol is the ultimate carry piece. I have no complaints about anything on the gun, and nothing I would add to it. It handles plus p just fine, it carries iwb or owb or pocket well. I understand some of the early ones had issues, but I wouldn’t replace it with anything!

I didn't realize it was that much smaller than an XDs, my carry gun. Thanks for the report, this gun is growing on me.

I didn't realize it was that much smaller than an XDs, my carry gun. Thanks for the report, this gun is growing on me. I've been carrying an XDS since the first iteration that had to be recalled for the grip safety bulls$h!÷. That was back in 2013 I think. I had to install a PRP trigger in the XDS to make it comfortable enough for me to take my CHL class with. The P365 shouldn't be compared to that class of handgun. It's more comparable to most 380s, with exception to the Kahr PM9 and CM9.
Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

I bought a second release in March of last year. Several friends have fired it. Every one of us likes the accuracy, trigger, and reliability (zero issues). Got a couple of the 12 round mags and have a Kramer pocket holster (use with 10 round mag) and a Galco SG600B belt holster. Both holsters work great.
PS- Might add that my 9MM carry ammo has been DoubleTap 9mm 77gr. DT Lead free rounds that have awesome ballistics with about 1400 fps out of this firearm. Very little recoil.

I never really checked any of the brass for the primer drag. I will do that this week at the range and report back on that. I think mine has born date in March 2018

I bought one last week and took it to the range today. I only put 55 rounds through it, but it ran perfectly. It felt comfortable my hand, I really like the trigger, and I shot better than I expected with such a small pistol. The extended 10-round magazine isn't long enough to hold my pinkie finger and the shorter magazine actually felt better. I did see drag marks on all the primers; that concerns me. The manufacture date is 12/23/18.

Update.........ran another hundred plus down it. No issues. The primers do have drag marks. Some very light. Some more noticeable.

Stupid amount of round count for a gun as small/smaller than the Shield. After having Apex triggers in all of my M&P's, the Sig felt a little unworthy. So after about 300 rounds, I have sent this off to The Sig Armorer for trigger and action work. I will provide feedback once completed. Love this gun.

Update.........ran another hundred plus down it. No issues. The primers do have drag marks. Some very light. Some more noticeable. what does this mean Murph? I think the concern is that the tip of the firing pin is dragging on the spent brass as it is leaving the gun, possibly leading to a broken or malfunctioning firing pin in the future...and/or interference with the motion of the spent brass, possibly leading to a jam.

Yes sir. They broke a bunch of striker tips with the 2nd wave of pistols and had to switch to a harder alloy.
Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

They are calling it “striker drag”. Their is a little dig(drag) dent in the primer. So where the primer is normally struck and indented their is a little mark as if you took a pick and scratched a little line off the primer. Thought is the striker is is not retracting fast enough and scrapes (drags) the primer on ejection. Apparently quite a few of these micro striker fired pistols do it
