Right now, we're planning on being up there. Thanks for posting. I'll be trying to convince my gluteous maximus to get on a plane again for 16 to 18 hours.

I’ll be going again this year. See a bunch of friends I have made over the years and maybe book a hunt. I am sucker for the raffles and usually buys couple of hundred dollars worth. Also enjoy all the gun and optics manufactures that are there. I always walk away thinking about how bad I need to win the lottery.

I have a blast there. I am actually looking around at some alaska DIYs so am on the hunt for that. I also usually stop by horizon firearms and see what they got. Plus the optics booth.

What i really enjoy is seeing the big game hunting stuff you dont get down here (bags, boots, etc)

There was an actual NY lottery winner that was on a lot of the Tracks Across Africa shows. 'Former plumber I believe. He wasn't exactly a character to be admired amongst the Zim PHs. Poor devil. 'Didn't have a clue.

Will be going to admire all I can't have. It is fun to look.

Don't be a whistling gopher! As told to me by a PH that has passed - a whole bunch of guys walk up to the booth and ask "How much does that go fer?" and when he tell's them, they whistle.

I am planning on being there. Saturday and Sunday is what I am shooting for. Work may have other plans.

They used to have an app for your phone for the show. It was a little wonky, but they should've perfected it by now.

If y'all have time, and they don't promote them well, check out the seminars down the hall. I've always gotten something out of them.

I believe it’s a high fence technically. But they will have a gravity protein feeder in the middle so you should walk a way feeling full

We're coming. The wife decided she wanted to come with our 2 boys.

I am planning to be there on Friday and then back to Menard so that I can leave Monday morning for the Shot Show. I know that I will be in the Mossy Oak Properties of Texas booth (2858) for some of the time and then will be walking the floor. Hope to see some of you there.

And why the hell do they have their convention on pretty much the best duck hunting weekend?

I've hunted ducks AND gone to the convention. Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and organize a THF duck hunt around that time?

I'll be there Thursday afternoon & all day Friday. Really enjoy the show & all the good folks. I hope Ruger has a presence this years as I have a few questions for them They were a no-show last year - kind of surprising. Maybe I'll get lucky on some of the drawings this year.

Ruger is not shown as an exhibitor this year. Ruger was at the NRA Convention in Dallas last spring. Larry Weishuhn and I will be there at least part time this weekend and both of us are Ruger Brand Ambassadors.
I am not sure that we can answer your questions but maybe director you to who can.

I hate that these 2 events always seem to be back-to-back!

I will be there Thursday for a few hours and then again over the weekend.

Booking a hunt is crazy expensive.

I have to pick up some Kuiu gear. Wife gave me some for Christmas last year and it is great. I am also looking for a thermal scope.

Not sure who else is there but I know that Trijicon will be there in booth 2541 and their products are the best.

Since the SHOT Show starts on Tuesday next week I doubt Ruger will be there. It really puts a strain on people in the shooting industry when these shows are so close together.

I may be going Friday. No Vegas SHOT show for me this year.

The taxidermy and the unnecessary hunting gadgets and gear are the best parts of the show.

After 5 hours here my brain is tired.

That's mandated by the city. The DSC staff has tried to get them to change the policy for several years, to no avail. It's disliked by everyone at the DSC.

I will be there this weekend. I know I can't afford any of the hunts at the moment, but a guy can dream.

For those that have been in the past, what are the rules on carrying guns, knives, swords, nunchucks, lightsabers, etc. ?? I couldn't seem to find any info online.

Weird question.. do you know if they will allow backpacks in there? I am going straight from work so will have my work backpack with me.

Just got back. They allow backpacks. Sign at the gate says "Inspection of backpacks is up to their discretion". I had one on, volunteered to let them look in it and the gate attendant laughed and said, "nah man.....you good". Party on Garth
