Shot two deer with this round. Super accurate in rifle. Both deer shot at less than 80 yards or so. Destroyed heart and lungs in both but small entrance and exit. What has been your experience with this ammo? No blood trail in either case but they did not go far. I am assuming no blood due to the pump being shut down, but should I be looking for a bigger exit out of a .270 at this range?

Used the 308 in Powerpoint before and had crazy big exit wounds with shots ranging between 75-120yds. Deer didn't go far.

Just purchased a 270 and using the new XP ammo from Winchester. Accurate from my XPR but have yet to shoot a deer with it yet. Will report back.

If they didn't go far at all it may take a few yards to get the blood out. If you don't hit low the cavity has to fill a little before the blood really starts flowing out.
