It's a Remington Varmint contour barrel and it's not too bad. Rifle weighs about 16lbs. When's it's time for a rebarrel I'll probably go with a M24 contour.

Working on the road again, so carried a few new rifles with me that I just put scopes on last night in the camper. They will all get broke in soon and become part of the family.

Savage B Mag 17 WSM, Lupe VX-2 3x9x50. I already like this one better than the last.

Savage Model 12 in 22-250, Lupe VX3i 4 1/2x14x40.

Savage Model 111 in 25-06-Thumbhole, Lupe VX3i 4 1/2x14x40.

Since the last one got stolen, my new Dan Wesson 357 Mag. Just put new rubber grips on. Need to check zero and break it in as well. I do love stalking pigs with a pistol.

I know you got the 22-250 last year but have you even shot that thing yet?

No Sir. Hurricane put a damper on my plans, so stayed in the safe. That’s about to change.

I'll also take my Tikka 22-250 with a Burris XTR ii 3-15x50 for filling a lot of my MLD doe tags.

Nice truck axle for the barrel. You get that out of a Dana 60? I wouldn't want to lug that up a mountain but I'm sure it shoots straight!

I was thinking the same thing!

I'm noticing a lot of guys hunting with target guns. There was a group of guys hunting in CO next to us that shoot rifles similar to the one in the pic. They tend to not walk around a whole lot.

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Looks like a carbon barrel to me which means it’s not going g to be heavy to lug around.
