From a communication with you it was my understanding the minimum order was 100 rounds which I assume is 5 boxes. I shoot maybe a box a year so I do not need or want 5 boxes. To answer your question, I do not believe a change from 50 to 40 would change a buying decision, but from 100 to 50 would, at least for me. Perhaps a surcharge for a quantity less than 100 would make that option more economically feasible for you. You stated above that $24 dollars was the cost per box for the routine ammo. I think that is a very good price for the quality of your product and I would be receptive to paying more. I will pay $28 a box for two boxes, assuming that is 20 rounds per box, or the equivalent per round for 50 rounds if that is your minumum. I am backing this up with an order to you for 50 rounds of .308 ammo and if you will pm me we can finalyze the type of bullet.

Yes, there's 2 options for the same load on my site. A 50 round option for $63 and 100 round option for $122. Thank you so much!

The above idea to provide a smaller order minimum is what I was thinking. I understand your ammo is better quality than factory and would like to use it but I do not shoot over a box of ammo a year. I would buy some from you at two boxes at a time. I understand that may not be financially feasible to you and I am providing a response to the question you posed. Yes! That is the dilemma. When you load up some ammo that is lower cost, and you sell it in small quantities, there's no profit in it. By the time you factor in ammo boxes, labels, shipping logistics, and time to package up the ammo, the profit on the ammo goes away. On the higher cost ammo (like 28 Nosler), the smaller quantities are built into the pricing. But on the lower cost ammo, it's hard to make up difference. I may change the 50 count to 40 count. Do you think changing it from 50 to 40 count (2 boxes) on the quantity would be more attractive? I do. People are used to buying in quantities of 20 for hunting ammo, 50 is an odd count and doesn't fit into a normal box. You could sell 2 boxes at $27 per box instead of 50 for $63 like mentioned above....you'd probably make more profit and sell more. Also, I did not realize you could order less than 100...that's the only reason I haven't ordered 6.5 CM and 7-08 ammo from you. Another option is to make the pricing contingent on the quantity...for instance 1 box = $30, 2 boxes for $27 ea, 3 boxes for $26 ea, 4+ boxes for $25 ea....but just pick a number that makes sense so you still make a decent profit. Just a couple ideas for you....

As someone that shoots and hunts with a .270win and has a degree in marketing; I think its a combination of factors.
1. Yes you do make great ammo, but how good does the ammo have to be for general deer hunting?..... Your average hunters mind set is "A couple of boxes will last me YEARS, why should I buy a whole bunch?"
2. Price point vs. other options - I reload for .270win and this being Texas, every time I go to the range to sight in before deer season I end up getting at least 3 boxes of once fired brass simple by helping people out.
You know the people at the gun range that are trying to get a brand new rifle on paper and cant figure out why the point of impact isn't changing at 25yds when the scope turrets say (1 click = 1/4moa @100yds)
So when you take into account the nearly endless supply of once fired brass out there I can load a 140gr Hornady Interlock BTSP with RE22 Powder and CCI primer for $11.70 per box of 20; even if I was buying brass I could load new brass for $16.70 per box of 20...… and when I reload .270win I generally load 200-300 rounds.
Now that's just me being a reloader and getting it out of the way..... VS. some of your average hunting crowd that simply walks into academy and buys 1-2 boxes of Remington Corelokts for $40 and is good to go for 3 years.

I finally got a chance to shoot the 270 ammo I purchased from you. The first three round were high, but you could cover them with a quarter. I made a scope adjustment and the next two shots removed the bullseye. I wish I had a picture! The best ammo I've ever shot from my Tikka. Thanks!
God bless John Wayne!

Well the other problem is like me for example. I only have 1 270 and if I bought x number of boxes I’d be stuck with ammo that didn’t group well. Maybe if you had sample packs with different loads it would help the shooter see what performed well and then be able to order bulk quantities! Just saying.
MAGA!

Some of the cheapo factory ammo out there for the 270 shoots very well. I reload but like to have a good factory load available that also provides good brass to reload. For my 270's the 150 grain Winchester Power Point load provides very good accuracy, killing power and brass. One thing is the big factories are putting out better ammo with more bullet options now than ever before. There was a time when the standard Corelokt and Power Point loading's were just about all there was. It was a big deal when factories began putting Partitions in some factory loads.

But the test loads would be a match grade loading and not my bulk ammo. My bulk ammo is loaded on a progressive press making 400-500 rounds an hour. My match grade is single stage, one at a time, and powder weighed out to .02 grains consistency. It's 2 different types of ammo for me. This 270 and 25-06 ammo is my bulk ammo.
