Fort Boggy SP with 1 loyalty pt

There's buzz on the Green Screen that some folks were drawn for hunts by mistake and had their hunts that they won withdrawn. Ouch!

Looks like EVERYONE that put in for Archery Ft Boggy or Choke Canyon won, including me. But it now says "permit withdrawn"

yea my Fort Boggy SP changed. It still says "Won" but now the permit # says "Permit Withdrawn"? I've got the email to prove I was selected, I feel cheated, robbed and oh the Mental Anguish damages! Can't wait for the spin excuse they will put out.

I just pulled up my email and first thing I see is Texas Parks and Wildlife email so I am like "SWEEETTT" then I read it. "Red Snapper season closes in federal waters".

UUUggghhh!! Not the email I was hoping for LOL!!!

Hey! Thanks ever so much. Your post made me check - my results changed from "2nd draw" on Pronghorn to "Not selected". Awesome. I'm one step closer to paying what Pronghorn outfitters want.

Yeah I got real excited when I saw that email.

It still says app received at 4:35. What are those guys doing drinking coffee and eating donuts?

Government mandated break and then taking it all the way until 5 to head home.

So my Congratulation email, my app status "Won" with highlighted pay for permit link changed to "Won" Permit # Withdrawn to now says
"NOT SELECTED" and they have not put my loyalty points back in (yet). What a mess. TPWD system failures continue.

Me too, but I am actually happy. I put in for that one for the preference point with the intention of not getting drawn.

Same here for me.

Same thing for my group for CCSPNS. Congrats email, then withdrawn, then not selected, then points reinstated. Logged on here to see if happened to anyone else and here it is. Fascinating to see it happen in steps each time I refreshed the screen.

Bit frustrating, but first time of any type error like this in over 30 years applying. Was fired up going into the new year.

Still like the online application process overall way better than before.

I bet those system failures have shut down the draw process until they can get the bug fixed. Some lucky programmer's gonna get to pull an all-nighter. They have to keep our confidence in the system or we might stop donating.

I'm in pending #2 for archery. Would not like to be one of you guys that got the winning email only to have it yanked away.

And dangit, I got "snappered" too. Somebody did that for a grin.

Yeah trying to figure out that glitch in the algorithm I'm sure will be exciting.

They messed up last year for Ft Boggy antlerless as well. Those permits were cancelled and refunded, and they sent me a tpwd voucher for any park.

There is a vendor that provides the service, I believe it is called Gordon Darby.

I have two drawn for 8/15, both still just showing "Application Received" Got an exotic and a Javelina...

Just got this email from TPWD:

Dear Public Hunter,

We recently discovered a serious mistake that affects you. Regrettably, you were among a group of hunters selected in error during a random computer drawing for Archery Deer at Choke Canyon State Park - North Shore or Fort Boggy State Park. The error allowed more hunt groups to be drawn than the area and deer population can support. We sincerely apologize for this error. The only safe, fair, and equitable solution is to withdraw the hunt permits and restore loyalty points for those hunters drawn in error. If you have already paid your permit fees, a refund will be charged back to you credit card. None of the other hunt categories having an August 15, 2018 application deadline were affected by this error.

We apologize for this mistake and appreciate your continued support of TPWD and the Public Hunting Program.

Guess you didn't hear about Fort Boggy last year, their computer program has some major bugs, IT SUCKS!

So it sounds as if they aren’t going to do a redraw for those.
