Biggest issue with 250 is they don't always work in some aics pattern mags. The case taper can require lip massaging for reliability. Yup, takes 1 minute. Jason, where did you find the Savage with a 1-8, I have the heavy stainless in 1-9, will shoot 3 shot 1 hole, berger 70gr

No problem with 80gr bullets in a short action like they said. I have run 90gr Bergers in a 22-243 M700 short action

sorry, i switched up the post, from 22-250 to .22 creed So almost a 22-250AI. There is very little difference between the 22 Creed and 22-250AI. What 5 degrees shoulder angle and a little less body taper in the AI. You can make brass that will wind up just a little short but still function well by fire forming 22-250 in a 22 Creedmoor chamber if memory serves correctly.

Here you go buzz 90gr vld in a 22 creed. They are long suckers. Also doesn't help my reamer is pretty tight on freebore.

There might be a slight crunch when seating those long s.o.b. over 42gr of rl26.

There might be a slight crunch when seating those long s.o.b. over 42gr of rl26. Yes those 90gr VLD are 1.25 inches long IIRC. Long skinny bullets for sure, sectional density and BC are high for a 22 cal bullet though or 5.68 times the bullet diameter. The bc is impressive on it coming in just a tick higher than the ever popular 6mm 105gr hybrid.

I have had a few built, always figured it was best to have fast twist to utilize a variety of bullet weights
