Sumac. That variety is very common in Sandy country. Flameleaf is smaller leaves and grows in calcium soil. You can make a tea out of the red berries in the fall. Grows in clumps, usually. Beautiful fall color too.

Looking at the first pic I would have said Sumac, after seeing the second picture with the size of the trunk and bark figure no way it is a sumac.
