Has anyone had any experience with these rifles? I'm really looking hard at this one, mainly because of the mid-weight #5 contour barrel. I have a Thompson Center Venture right now and it's a great rifle, but I don't care for the light-weight barrel. It just heats up too quickly. At 7.9 pounds, the Ridge looks like one I could hike in the mountains with and still have a heavier barrel.

I'm really wanting to get one in 6.5CM and cut it down to 16.5". Would be a great walking around gun.

I was thinking along the same lines, only cutting it down to 22". I don't like muzzle brakes and I have no plans to get a suppressor, so the threaded barrel isn't something I would need. Also looking at 6.5 Creedmoor to replace my Thompson.

Well, I ordered one so hopefully I'll have some kind of review before too long.

Well, I got to shoot it today and so far so good. These are rounds I had loaded for my other rifle so I can probably tweak the powder charge and tighten it up a little. I'll take it out this evening or tomorrow and shoot some steel out to 500 rounds see how it does.

I'm interested in that rifle too Grizz. Please keep us posted on your progress if you don't mind.

Will do. The trigger was set right at 3 lbs out of the box but I adjusted it down to 2.5 lbs. I couldn't get it any lower but it is really good where it's at.
