Those who understand conservation are all about eating small fish! What kills me about that forum is you have a bunch of tournament fishermen who will crucify someone for keeping any fish over 3.5 lbs in the name of "conservation" and keeping the lake healthy. Then, them and 250 other boats will catch the 5 biggest bass they can on the same lake, haul them around for 8 hours in a warm livewell, then parade them around at a weigh-in out of the water. I bet if they did mortality studies after big tournaments the numbers would be astronomical. Last argument I got in with someone over there I suggested the tournament anglers should be required to donate 25% of their winnings to restock the lake they just massacred if they are that concerned with the fish population..... You can guess how well that went over. Like a fart in a spacesuit? Some of those tournament guys are dicks at best.
Mmmm Hmmm

Some of them make a living fishing, I get that....But don't beat up the guy that caught the biggest bass of his life and wants to mount it. That one bass being caught didn't harm the lake that much. The tournaments do way worse.

Ill eat any size bass I want but I usually just take a pic or two of the big ones and release them. Some of them make a living fishing, I get that....But don't beat up the guy that caught the biggest bass of his life and wants to mount it. That one bass being caught didn't harm the lake that much.
