We have shot many like that over the years his hide is stained from wallowing. If you shoot him get him mounted his hide will be washed and come out to be the same color as the rest in the picture. Pretty normal site right there nothing wrong with him. Incredible. What part of "Mulie Mike has seen more aoudads than anyone on this forum" don't ya'll understand??? I've seen a WHOLE lot of aoudads but even I haven't seen as many as Mike. That aoudad is exactly what he said. They wallow in mud or ash piles and turn even blacker than that. But when tanned the natural color comes right back.

The one I shot with MM was at least that dark. Got him back from taxidermist and he was normal colored. It is a mixture of mud and pee. I guarantee he stinks to high heaven Lol....last one we killed i washed my hands until this skin was coming off and they still stunk for 3 or 4 days

In a few years he's going to be a dandy one... Pretty neat love these sheep most under-rated of all time.
