Anyone have experience with BK Meats in Bronte or any other quality processors around that area? Headed out this week to a new lease in Sterling City and was curious.

Thanks

B&K is the best around here, makes a awesome pepper jack cheese link sausage and has an outstanding taxidermy studio.

Hello, I'm Robert Yates, I own BAY AREA DEER PROCESSING in Pasadena, Texas. We have been processing deer and other wild game since 1987. We are located at 2243 Pasadena Boulevard, Pasadena, Texas 77502. We offer a wide variety of services and products ( smoked link, summer sausage, breakfast, etc.). Open 7 days a week during deer season and by appointment in the off season. We, also, own Yates Firearms and Accessories which is right next door. For any questions give us a call at 713-472-6000. If you're in the area come by for a sausage sample, and take a look at the firearms we have. Thank you for your time in reading this.

Great service, great sausage, vacuum packs the meat. Also will process hogs. This is the regular cattle and pig processing plant.

I just got two back from Dry Creek Processing in Poolville. $80 for basic processing, only a single $10 charge for tenderizing all the steaks and backstraps. Really nice guy, Josh Plumlee. This is a new enterprise for him. He managed Deen's Meats for four years. He will make breakfast sausage, but isn't set up for smoked sausage. 817-694-1288.

Just got my elk back from Hog Wild in Bonham TX. Did exactly what I asked and price was very reasonable. Doesn't seem like that big of a deal to get it how you ask for it, but it's the first time in three years I've had a good experience. Last year order was all wrong, and the year before I took it to Bluebonnet meat processing in Trenton TX and got about half my meat back.

Looked online and found a few:
B&R Deer Processing - Early
Ted's Deer Processing - Early
Santa Anna Custom Meats - Santa Anna
The butcher Block - Cross Plains
Hall's custom meats - Coleman
Does anyone have any experience with these, good or bad?

Truly appreciate any advice.

Robert

We just got one done at Mike and Ed’s in CP. really nice folks

We process deer ourselves. Have a family friend nearby who does it commercially as well. We get together for family Christmas and usually process 10-15 deer at once. As long as there are lots of helpers, its not too difficult. When you get stuck with all the deer and no helpers, it becomes a nightmare.

Thumbs up to Joshua Deer Processing in Joshua. Tim does an excellent job and packages it like the grocery store instead of tubes. The summer sausage is awesome.

ME! Hands down.
I absolutely KNOW where it's been and how it's handled. And it's always the way I like it.

Not sure if I should ask this here or start a new thread.

Any place besides Kuby's in the DFW area that I can take ground venison and have them convert it to sausage, tamales and other tasty food items?

I'm not knocking Kuby's, I have already taken toms there, just looking for other options.
