I ran across this on Amazon: If I attach it to my 16’ step ladder, would it work as a tree stand? I could use my monopod as a gun rest set on a rung. I could tie it to a tree to make it more sturdy. Might work...idk:) FYI...it’s a seat or stand that mounts to a ladder.

How much is this seat? How much weight does it hold? Looks like it wouldn't rust.

Ladders are used for coyote hunting, not tall ones just enough to see over grass and brush. I just have a cushion on the top. And recoil will not knock you off.

We have used them for quick setups but only on 8' ladders to see over brush for varmint and pig hunting. Just get you a couple of ratchet straps and tie the ladder to the tree and the seat to the ladder. Works best if you strap the seat to the ladder, then raise ladder and strap to tree. Strapping the seat to the ladder keeps it from moving and making noise - also keeps it in place. We knocked ours off the ladder a few times when you stand up with lots of clothes or insulated suits on before we started strapping them down.
PS - if it's cold, get you a cushion as that aluminum gets COLD and radiates frigid to your butt!
