I agree redchevy. Lots of TPWD rules are too ambiguous. Leaves room for interpretation, and you know who always wins that battle.

"AND"
It is an offense if you don't include a knowingly wounded or dead game animal in your daily or seasonal bag limit.

Yep. I would be done. In fact I'm not going to shoot at another deer until I see that the 10pt I shot "at", is alive. This is the family place. I have 2 other hunters and it wouldn't be fair otherwise.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.
