If you asked a hunter from 1900 Texas if there were more animals, he would vehemently disagree. History does not back up your statement. There are numerous historical accounts of experienced pioneers and woodsmen going hungry because game was scarce.

Hunters have successfully killed critters with firearms for hundreds of years. It wasn't until the camo craze took over that people found it necessary to paint/wrap their guns. If you are hunting a feeder from a stand it is even less important. If you like doing it though that's great.
