Been looking into rigging a solar panel with a 12v battery, charge station and AC inverter to run small fan/heater and phone charger while in the deer blind. Has anyone done this? I've looked online and found several different setups. Wondering what the best option is.

Get a battery box with deep cycle but it won't be enough juice for heat

I looked into doing that. The much much easier option is to get an portable phone charger battery pack thing. I can plug my phone into mine and stream video for over 12 hours and still be at 100% on my phone and the battery will still usually have 25% left. Then just bring it home and plug it in over night. You can get usb fans that you could plug in, and I’m sure somebody makes a usb heater. You can get those external batteries for $10-15 on amazon. I’d get 2. One for heater one for phone.

You can forget trying to run any kind of a useful heater on a solar/battery setup unless you have a REALLY large & sophisticated system. Electric heating elements just pull too many amps. The Buddy heater is the way to go for heat.

The heater was more of a plus/"if" factor. My gf tends to get cold easily It would be more so for phone charger and small desk fan for the warm early season hunts, and an LED light for mornings/evenings when I'm getting settled or packed up to leave in the dark. I've seen several different things that have been done, and was wanting something more "permanent" then a portable phone charger since it's family land, it won't be going anywhere.

TxAg- Very nice blind.
One blind I use has an LED light powered from the solar charged battery from an electric gate.
