I've seen deer and hogs both around Melissa but i don't know that there is what you would call a "huntable population" of them there. Actually, I don't even know if they have a season.

Welcome to deer camp wild antlers! I too live in Plano. Spring Creek/75 area. Maybe we can hook up sometime for a beer and some eats. Plano has a lot of good eatin' places.

I have deer at my house in Hunt County. I have a corn/protein mix in my feeder and just planted the food plot yesterday. I might bow hunt or handgun hunt, but will probably only watch them.

BTW...coming to Texas doesn't make folks a Texan. We are born here. My wife is from Minnesota...she's good people, but she isn't a Texan just because she married one.

DEER ARE EVERYWHERE in this state.....just find a rural wooded, farm land area North of you South or you East of you or West of you....you will find some!!

Hey thanks for the welcome! I look forward to see what texas has to offer, I am coming from Utah so all Ive ever hunted is muleys but ive always wanted to hunt whitetail I love to hunt and fish about anything so I think Ill find plenty to do down there.Thanks for the welcome and all the info and CURLY Ill definetely have to take ya up on that offer as soon as I get settled in a little bit!! And ya I know Im no texan I thought that would just get your attention

there isnt not deer in texas , but there are alot of petting zoos where you can pay a price and shoot deer all day long till your bank goes dry

Yep we got big petting zoo pens. bout 1000 acres minimum and you can get a deer for about 4 grand
