Presented is a .500 Linebaugh shotgun to rifle conversion I've finished up. It started life as a 20 bore shotgun, then converted to the .500 Linebaugh revolver cartridge for the client to hunt driven deer in New York. It was also restocked by me using a stunning piece of Turkish walnut! WARNING-beginner photography!

Beautiful work, that will be a thumper. From the title I was thinking Ruger conversion to 500 Linebaugh which I know is a handful to shoot.

do you insert rifled sleeves in the old 20ga barrel or how is that done? and how did you regulate Point of impact between the barrels ? Rear sight adjustable or where is it zeroed at if not adjustable? Kind of a take off of the old African double rifle?
It is a beautiful piece of work - pics were not bad either

The original shotgun barrels are cut off about 3" in front of the breach, then rifle barrels are sleeved into the resulting "monoblock". I don't do any type of lining like you mention.
Regulation is done via traditional methods using a heat torch, melting the rib solder, adjusting, letting cool to reharden. Shoot to see where the impacts are, then repeat with another adjustment. Regulation is fixed.
Rear sight is adjustable for windage, elevation via filing it. Has two leafs for 50yds and 100yds. Adjustable rear sight is an option.

Perhaps beginning photography but hardly beginning gunsmithing. Very, very nice.

Did you by any chance take photos on a step by step or stage by stage basis? Would be interesting to see that work as it evolved.
Loved the fore-end style, reminds me of the L.C.Smith that my Granddad gave me back in 1954-55. Always loved the trim narrow style of wood on the L.C. as opposed to the large wrap around that everyone uses now.
As stated by all others, very beautiful. Always wanted an English double rifle, but couldn't justify it.

Don't have anything like this with stockmaking. http://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/760101804/m/9561066812/p/1
