Growing up my Dad was the Entertainment Director for The State Fair of Texas, so I went to EVERY T/OU game, we could park on the Fair Grounds and the atmosphere was PURE Electric what great memories.

That is awesome. I've never been to either. We are really looking forward to it.

Deep Ellum is a close walk from train stops. Got Pecan Lodge BBQ, I like it. You got the angry dawg which is pretty good. I'm sure there are many bars in Deep Ellum.

I sure hope you are right, but I'll wait to see how they handle a "quick" team USC was big and fast, but not quick like Maryland was. OSU, Tech, TCU and KState will bring the quickness that gives UT fits. i think UT will match up well against OU.

Yeah, I don't get it either. Porter goes to the ground so fast. With the problems the o line has i would let the defense stack the box. Give the ball to Warren and let him try and pop one for a TD. The line can't give porter the clean holes he needs to get started.

Feed Warren the ball at least 15 times a game.

How are you guy feeling about the K State game?

I'm thinking it's a coin flip game. Texas starting center is injured but is expected to play. Toneil Carter is expected to see more playing time. He has the big play ability that the running game has been lacking. They are also gonna try and throw him the ball out of the back field more.

For the first time in a long time I trust the defense. I think they will show up and do work. Texas just needs a little something from that offense. They've look so bad lately.

Old Coach Snyder always has that K-State team coached up, especially for Texas. Should be a good old-fashioned dog fight. I'm just glad the game starts at 6. Last couple of games we've been baking in the stands. Texas definitely needs a win going into the shootout. Texas will need to get that offense it figured out if they plan on hanging with OU.

I don't know how much you follow either of the schools, but even in the last three years with Texas struggling. The biggest margin of victory is 7. So no matter how well or how bad either school is doing lately, it's been a dog fight.

Sam will be starting at quarterback against K State, Or at least that's the word on the street. Shane is trying to recover from the ankle injury he suffered in the last game. I think they stand a better chance with Sam in as quarterback, we'll see.

I moved to the Austin area in late 1996 and Snyder has had a good run. In particular, against the Longhorns during this stretch (9-4 I think).

However, the last 4-5 matchups have went to the home team. This one will be close but I suspect the Horns will have the edge at home. Will be rooting for the Cats though and a little Coach Snyder magic!

Snyder....along with Gary Patterson at TCU.....get more out of their talent than any coach I've ever seen in NCAA. I'd give the edge to Snyder just because I think his talent is generally a notch lower than what even TCU gets just due to proximity. Total 100% class act too.

Lots of correct things said in the above statements. Can't say enough positive things about coach Snyder and coach Patterson. I agree Texas will win this one. Sam needs the experience but I might rotate the quarterbacks. Going to be a good game.
