I have a Springfield Loaded that I've enjoyed but I'll never buy another Springfield(or Rock River Arms) product after their collusion with Illinois state anti-gun politicians to sell out gun owners. Maybe that will change if the company gets sold and comes under new management, but I'd prefer to see them go out of business. I did come back around to Ruger since Bill died.

The two you mentioned are nice choices. There are a lot of good 1911's out there. I have had Colt's Dan Wesson's, Kimber's and a Cimmaron. All were very reliable and great shooters There 's a great 1911 forum over on Glock Talk that is on e of the best forums for 1911 information.
