I got a few pics of them around here, none I can show.  They are alive and well in my part of the world. They will get your attention when you find them. They are right up there with the prairie and massauga when it comes to being aggressive. Give them some distance. WTCYA No pic, no happen

They are my favorite, ran into a Gravid female on the concrete by the house Thursday. I helped her off ghee road with a stick and she never rattled or showed any concern.

Most snakes just want to be left alone....... give them their due, and they'll be gone............. Most people just don't want to be bit by venomous snakes so if it's legal kill them and take pucs

Very majestic. Texas would be the worse if we lost this species. I hope he survived the photo shoot. You are right (majestic) I think it is against the law to kill a Timber Rattler? Yes, very much a protected species in Texas. Beautiful snake and often times BIG!
