Cool. If you decide that you don't like it, you can throw it in the kitchen drawer and you're not out a bunch of cash. You will like it though, even if you only use it as an ultralight backup knife in your pack.

I use Anza Knives. They come sharp and stay that way. Easy to sharpen when you do need to.

I build my own. But, if I didn't, I would use an Anza or just about any high carbon steel blade.

I am really embarrassed to say, but I use a 3" Rough Rider as my EDC. Really well made and has good steel. My "hunting knife" is a Havalon Barrecutta. The Havalon 60A blades are thicker and don't break easily.

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason! nidea

I carry a couple of Zero Tolerance folders. One of the is "fancy" and reserved for "light duty" carry and the other I beat up every day. I have yet to find a folding knife that is tougher than my 0350.

It is super light weight so I can carry a couple. It holds an edge better than any metal knife. I can skin a seasons worth of hogs without any sharpening at all. Best part is, at $9 a pop, when it does dull or break, I throw it away and I buy a new one.

For every day, I carry a Gerber Multiplier Diesel.

OK I just ordered 2 of those paring knives. up

me too

Morakniv is another really good cheap knife. I use a havalon for most animals I kill and carry a Zero Tolerance or Benchmade griptilian. Always wanted a Bush monkey knife, will have to get one some day.

I've got a dozen custom blades on the shelf by my desk. But in the filed I use a large Gerber with a gut hook and a cheap Kershaw with a bright orange handle so I can't easily loose it. They keep decent edges and I won't cry if I do misplace one.
