Went to fill feeders and try to take out some porkers that are tearing up my field bad mad
Captain Jack has been sending me pics daily of piggies that he has dropped so I had my hopes up up

Jumped in the stand at 4:30 hoping they would already be there but nope, so I climbed my butt back right back down and off to camp for a drink7 or two grin

Got back in the stand about 7:45 and momma and her spotted child were roaming the edge of the field having some tender moments. They walked off into the woods and about 5 minutes later a Yote started yapping right in that same area.
30 seconds later momma with kiddo in tow bolted into the field then laid down to hide in the tall vegetation.
About 15 seconds later they jump up and haul azz out of there.

Well I immediately put my ear covers on and had the 270 ready. Sure enough a small gal came out of the woods then trotted up the woodline for about 85 yards and paused for a split second, then off she went again until she was approximately 205 yards out and looked back at me for a second to long grin Went and checked her out then got back into the blind hoping something else may show before dark but nope. Heard a lot of Fireworks right before and after dark up

Got in the blind this morning at 5:45 had a couple of doe show up and a hawk that did several fly by's, filled the feeder and back to the metromess.

Momma was licking her fawn quite a bit, I tried to get a pick with the tongue lashing but this is as close as I got.

This is looking back to the stand, the small tree in front of her on the left ranged 195 yards to the front/blind side of the tree, she was 8 steps behind it so I am guessing about 205 - 210 yards out.

This is from the blind looking out, she was behind and just to the left of the small tree in the back right corner

This hawk actually tried to pounce down on something but missed then flew way back behind the feeder.
