Good job Sap! Glad to see you're getting out and having some fun. Did you hurt anything loading that dang thing by yourself? nah it wasn't too bad. I got a good method to do it. Just put a rope around its neck get on the tailgate reach down low as I can and basically deadlift the hog into the truck bed. Getting the head and shoulders onto the tailgate is the hard part the rest is easy. I think I could prob get a 300-350 lb hog in the bed myself I would think. Being old and lame, I carry a couple of 6 foot 2X12's with a cleat screwed to one end of each board about 12 inches from the end. Pull the boards out, set the cleat end on the gate so the boards won't slide up, haul the hog in close, and then drag the piggy up the slope and into the bed. I can't dead lift anything more than a 12 pack of cerveza nowadays.
