Well, ELD it Hornady's new, super accurate ammo and in my testing, it was plenty accurate, but for the Grendel, they are currently only loading the match version. Guys over on the Grendel forum have been saying that the match version down well on deer, hogs, ground hogs, and coyotes, so I thought I would give it a try. Had I stopped with the big boar, I would have been impressed. Shot #2 on the sow should have put down the sow and it did not and I don't know why. I could not even find the bullet to try to figure it out.

Still, two good hogs are down. The landowner would like for me to have gotten the other 16. Go figure.

Yeah, that we really weird. I cannot figure out that shot at all. It was a significant failure and yet the shot that followed performed impressively.

Your time & effort, cost of gas, wear & tear on your vehical, your equipment, all adds up... Bullets are the cheapest expence..
At WMA used AR .223 cheap 55gr FMJ, & HP... Kept shots ta 30yrds or less, due ta size of entry & exit wound doesn't leave very good blood trail, most goes inside cavity... only one done gone missing... So had great success... It is a Blast... keep up the good work, saving tax payers money...

LOL, Colt, bullets are one of the cheaper aspects! Agreed, but I keep mentally hearing the ka-ching cash register sound every time I pull the trigger.

With that said, I don't think I will be getting any doubles with this ammo, LOL.

Speaking of odd happenings with bullets, I once shot a deer with a factory loaded 35 Remington 200 grain bullet that went in the ribs, bounced off the ribs on the far side and was completely intact, no expansion at all. Luckily it went through the heart and the deer only ran 50 yards.
