Nice job. That first one looks like a big stinker.
One shot is all it should take.

yeah. think he was trashing the protein feeder pens at one area of the property..
I normally run a 6.8 but decided to run the 5.56
I shot this big boar at about 50 yards with 5.56 75g TAP, it was quartering towards me and I centered the reticle in the head and it took off running, almost right at me and I put another 5-8 rounds as it went by me at 10 ft and stopped about 20 behind me. Fun and sure wish I had it on video.. I didn't think I was being charged, being at night he certainly couldn't see me nor smell me as the wind was in my face. But, I if he had I would have been screwed. I am going back to my 6.8, it's been VERY rare to not drop one with a 6.8, even on the run. I know if I had a behind the ear shot it would have dropped but it came wide open into multiple hits, I heard the impacts...

It is nice having a suppressor to hear the impact and add to the frustration when I'm tapping 'em with my .308 and they keep on running... If I can get work to leave me alone, I'm going to try and head out tonight.

Good work, I have shot many hogs with the 223 but chest hits let em go to far into the brush a lot of the time. It's 6.5 Grendel for me now.
