Are their sales worth going in for yet????

Is any stock left?

I went into my local GM in Killeen just to look around last week. Found a rifled barrel for my 870 marked down from 240 to 119 then I found a Nikon slug hunter scope marked down from 200 to 95. I was needing a slug gun for the limited range areas on Ft Hood so this worked out great.

same here in Killeen. Anything I would want is only 10% off only stuff that's 40% off is crap. They suck.

they definitely had better sales this time around. It's the first time I've been in there since that last time I posted.

NO!!! I went in the one here today and they were restocking the shelves, they had a note on the door about not all of the product being from Gander MTN. And they had 15% FINAL markdown on their firearms...I checked a couple against a couple of online places and the online stores were about $20 cheaper. Frankly, this store has been a joke and today was my last day to go into it.

I believe the GM in Waco closes June 28th. Store is 75% empty. Most stuff 50-70% off.I think guns are 30% off. I bought a metal detector for $100.00 the best price on line I could find was $267 on Amazon
(didn't know I wanted one but was just too good a deal)

San Antonio having good sales I heard

This thread prompted me to drop by the one near me last night. Still a lot in the store with discounts getting better overall. Hunting clothing is now 50% off. Still room for other departments to drop more. Most stuff is just 20% off. Will try them again this weekend when my daughter and SIL will be in town.

Last Saturday a catfish liked my rod and reel so much, he took it with him. Went to the GM here, bought the display model Abu Garcia 5500 C3, Ugly Stick catfish rod, 12 2oz no roll sinkers and three packs of three way swivels for $154.00. The new Abu reel for catfish at Cabela's was $149.

Went by this week in Lake Worth. Prices still weren't impressive. Saw dozens of people walking around looking but nobody actually buying anything. Probably a few good deals there but they still have a full store of mostly overpriced items.

Example of their "deals" - Zippo hand warmer priced $29.99, marked down 25% making it $22.50 which is still more than you can get it for at most places.

They also had ice augers, I have no idea why they would stock that in Texas

I bought a cva .50 cal muzzleloader outfit, for $120, so that's right at 50% off. ETA at the Store in Arlington.

Went to Frisco store today. Hunting clothes 50% off, much of clothing 40% off. Most other items 30% or 20% off and there was a lot of merchandise still in store. I'll have to see 50% off everything before it being worth going back.

Went yesterday most stuff still overpriced. The best deals I have found was on the the hunting clothes. I was able to outfit my wife and kids in Under Armor at Game Winner prices. Things like my wife wanted the heavy Under Armor women's coat that is regularly $150 everywhere. They had it marked to $99 and then it was 50% off so got it for $50. Kids scent control overalls $99 so $50. Lots of base layer stuff. Most of it had been previously marked down. Also got 40% off some black powder stuff.

There are deals there you just have to wade through the overpriced stuff to find them but from what I saw clothes seems to be best deal but there is so much markup in that stuff to begin with.
