A lot of you use suppressors on your semiauto rifles. Has anyone used the LaRue Tranquilo on their AR10 rifles?
If so, did it reduce blowback as they say, and was the weight difference worth the lack of blowback? I know it's ugly as hell, but I really like the no, or minimal, blowback feature, which appears to be similar to the OSS suppressors. No good videos of it on YouTube, and can't find any data relating to db levels. I'm looking at a .308 model since I'll be using it on both a 7mag and 6.5.
Thanks in advance.

I run an adjustable SLR gas block with a
Gemtech One & don't have any issues with blowback. With the can on my AR10 the gas is turned down to 4 clicks out of 12. You can probably do this with just about any suppressor.

I asked the same question in the rifle section recently and got the gas block response and a comment about its weight.

My Cyclone weighs the same and I just don't want to fool with the gas block mod.

I would prefer less gas in my face as well. smile

Gas block $120
New Suppressor $700 + $200 +6 months of blowback while you wait.
Makes sense to me.

Happy to hear it works for you, I don't want to add anything to my rifle that might need adjusting.

Generally if you run a suppressor the increase in gas thrust can cause wear, noise and burnt powder in your face. Adjusting a gas block is easy and well worth it!
