I came across this article on the depressed pricing on game ranch animals in South Africa. If someone plans on going there may be some deals to be had. http://www.weeklytimesnow.com.au/agribus...1e03b6d889de003

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

Their economy seems to be collapsing and the value of the Rand is dropping dramatically. A black market for US dollars is already happening there. There is now talk of taking away the farms from the whites and giving them to the blacks. Hopefully something happens to save the country, but before it completely falls apart, I agree that there will be more and more good deals from ranchers trying to make a dime instead of a buck just to make anything. I'm seeing cape buffalo for $7,000 and sable under $4,000 from some people and others trying to get twice that much.

The Africans have done such a masterful job managing their resources up to now...what could possibly go wrong? rolleyes

Some gripe about ranches in Texas doing "Put and take" for hunting. Looks like it also goes on in Africa.
