Rounded the corner and he was standing about 30 yards away. Stopped the gator quick enough to hear him growling at us then he backed up and headed back into the brush.

Never had one do that to me. They just instantly haul butt away. That one might be getting too acclimated to people.
A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

Can't say I enjoyed it since I can't carry at work... would love to rid him of that "acclamation to people".. more than likely the one that got into our chicken coup and robbed me of good eggs the last few months... darn coyotes.

Dallas Baptist University farm. You ever see any deer out there? I saw 2 in a wheat field a few years ago off 408 and Grady Niblo rd.

I got one big heathy yote that comes around. Not scared of me. He stands my hair up just staring at me. Never been able to get my 45 on him. Someday I'll get him.
Cast I have a short attention spa

Dogcatcher I've talked to my boss about it and he's scared a person would be caught in it making the University liable. I don't quite understand it because the only people allowed there are employees. Have had the same conversation about a beaver that has been taking down trees on the main campus. Would be a little more likely on main campus so I can understand that a little more. But would love to trap that coyote and several more on the farm property. Have in the past but unfortunately he's not as cooperative at the moment.

How is a human going to get into a snare?

My question to my supervisor exactly rexmitchell... bottom line is I've got to do as he says even if I disagree.

Your supervisor is probably envisioning a steel jawed leg trap rather than a snare. He may be trainable, but it may not be worth your time.

There are no-kill snares available. One called the collarum works quite well. Go to collarum.com if you want to check them out. You'd need a catch pole if you caught a dog or something not wanted.
Mmmm Hmmm
