Took these a while ago and just ran across the photos. Was my first time to see a copperhead in the wild. This one got a pass, as I was hiking around some Army Corp property.

That gives me the willies just looking at the pictures!

Cool pics. I have never seen one in the wild. They are cool looking just wouldn't want to stumble upon one.

Don't care much for snakes in general. But some are beautiful.

I've walked up on a few on Ft Hood including one during night land navigation. Ran over a big one on accident on the way to my hunting spot

Seen two at my ranch and neither one of them received a pass but they are pretty snakes.

That is a pretty snake, but it sure blends in. Scary to think about that being on the trail.

That's cool how the coloration matches the pine needles. Most that I find are much brighter orange. They are chameleon like.

They make Excellent Hat Bands !!!!! For every one you see chances are that you walked past 3 or 4 more.... Creepy little sonsaguns.

Pass him into several pieces

When I see one they pass alright... right into the afterlife. Hate them sneaky little boogers. At least a Rattler tells you they are there.

Also masters at chemical warfare. You can't get that nasty stuff off. Just has to wear off.

Have never seen one around the house, but years ago at a ranch in Blanco we saw them all the time.

I've literally stepped over one that was coiled and ready...not sure why he didn't bite me but he never got the chance to bite anyone after my buddy pointed him out to me once I was clear of him....only good snake is a dead snake!

They were all over the woods behind our house in La. If I knew how many I walked by without seeing, I'd probably never go in the woods again.

We find them around our place and they don't get a pass.

I've walked right over the top of them several times....not good.

They never get a pass - killed 7 of them at my old house last year. One bit my wife and it was not a pleasant experience. 2 days in the hospital, 4 vials of anti venom and 6 shots of morphine. Plus $40K in medical bills. Fortunately we had good insurance.

I kill dozens at the property each summer...most in the driveway

They are pretty, no actually beautiful, but I don't like finding them.

Sapper - that one looks like he's still ready to strike!

They are blend in so well hard to spot them a lot of times until your right on top of one.
Out in Jacksboro they seem to have more of an orange color.
