Pearl Acrylic with "sweet gum ball pod". I added blue liners and it gave it a nice hue.

Well buy some blades and handle material and get at it. Caution though, it's addictive.
Lots of makers start that way, just be up front about your knives. Buyers and collectors don't take kindly to misrepresentation of a knife.

Just tell people how you make your knives. Say if you use Damascus billet from some source and heat treat & profile yourself some may not consider it 100% made by you. But what ever method you use, if you use quality material and put time and effort in to its look and functionality you will do well, just need practice and yes it is totally addictive!!! grin
