Dave and I hunted the trough between two storm fronts. It wasn't a big window and we figured we would have about four hours with which to work and also figured the hogs would be out after the first storm. They were. With a bit more time and without a second storm driving us off the hunting grounds, I think we would have gotten on more (we saw them out on several properties we don't hunt), but that is how it goes. Conditions were pretty awful for thermal. While the animals stood out against the background, everything in the background (trees, grass, etc.) had cooled to just about the same temperature and just looked gray. All this was made worse by a light mist that was falling as fog began to set in on us. We pulled up at the south gate and scanned this property and saw a sounder in the NW corner of the field, but they were slowly moving east. Playing the light winds, we came in making a large arc and to the NW corner to follow them east and then ran out of time when they came to the next tree-lined cross fence... Last week, I had a couple of malfunctions that turned out to be from being overgassed. A couple of adjustments to the adjustable gas block and the issue was resolved. Unfortunately, this week, Dave had issues. Some of the honking you hear in the video is verbal maintenance be applied.

Good sized sounder. Nice work
Fast paced gregarious society forgets the healing power of solitude. It's worked thousands of years. Casting a line/gazing into a campfire/sitting in a blind after a long week is medicine for the soul. The serenity and peacefulness of it all is majestic.

Oh, the issue will still be there. You still much remember to press the button to start recording and you must remember to press and hold the button to stop recording before shutting down the scope. There will just be a little less to worry about. You won't need to be worried if your cable is buggered somehow or has become disconnected (no exposed cables on the Pulsar). You won't have to worry if the battery in the dvr is going or has gone dead (the dvr will record as long as the scope will operate and you can see the battery level through the Pulsar viewfinder). You won't have to worry about the SD card getting corrupted somehow or having becoming unseating as the memory of 8 gigs that is internal on the Pulsar. 8 gigs, BTW, is enough for a few hours of video.

Ah, it seems like there's always something that can go wrong. Still, at least three hogs down. Not bad at all. Keep after 'em!

Nice work. Always something. My batteries died the other night when I was 50 yds away from a sounder. Wish the ReapIr gave some kind of warning.

The Pulsar's battery meter is helpful. When you get to the very end, it starts to flash.
