I've been on a quest to kill a hog with a spear without dogs. I've stalked them and gotten inside of ten yards twice but that's a near impossible throw and I've sat in trees for almost 40 hours over the last couple months but haven't connected yet. I ordered a smaller spear for the small game and last weekend I speared two possums from the tree. I haven't seen two possums on this place in the last two years but a lot goes on in the early hours of mornings after midnight. I'm convinced I can hit the pig and there's no doubt the spear will kill it, the time will come but until then I'll just keep taking out the small game.

Nice job. The pigs should be easier to hit.

Sorry to tell you this but you can also kill a possum with your boot. Nice job though.

A spear is a bit more difficult than stomping one with your boot...

You are correct. Good practice targets. Good luck.

I've caught plenty with my hands but hitting them from 20' up is harder. It helps build confidence for when the pigs show.
