They always get a pass from me, cool friendly spiders once an understanding is reached that you are not out to hurt one.

Grosseous Maximus is the scientific name I give them. I never kill one, but have accidently run over a few. I tried to let one crawl up my arm once......but then I lost my nerve and flung it who knows where, lol.

Mmmm Hmmm

Saw a couple this past weekend at the wifes family property. Had one crawl onto my hand while sitting up against an oak tree, scared the crap out of me and I moved spots. Snakes I like, spiders are okay at best..at a distance.

I was sitting next to my truck in Afghanistan eating an MRE at a small outpost after a long mission and had a damn camel spider crawl onto my leg, scared the sheet out of me. Ive always hated spiders but id prob let one of these tarantulas live if I seen it.

My son said they had spiders as big as a dinner plate in Iraq. Is that a camel spider?

In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years.
