Lol no I have a friend picking between a 6.5 and 708

It started off good but quickly got derailed and became the normal sword fight

7mm-08 A.I. to be added, to the original post, once I have an active edit button. New data was obtained on the cartridge this week.

I've really been thinking about adding a 7-08.

Currently getting 2910 MV out of my 260 AI with 143 ELDX and 2950 with Burger 140 HVLD.

I appreciate you taking the time to post all that.

That information is why my current AR project is a 7mm-08. I've never been enthused about .308 when there's also 30-06 and 300 Win Mag. I also like different rounds that aren't too hard to find.

I'm looking forward to seeing what numbers I get out of the long barrel, even with the gas system loss in velocity. 140 bullets are what I'm going to use mostly though.

I've never thought much of the 308. I've owned a lot of rifles in the last 40 years and I am the only shooter I know thatt will never own or think about owning a 308.
