Came across a lease listing in Real County, haven't seen the ranch yet. I was curious for those who have hunted out there, if there are any parts to stay away from? Or if you have any bad things overall about the area? I haven't heard/read anything negative other than flooding near the rivers. Have only read positive things so wanna make sure I wasn't missing anything. I'll look for animal sign when I'm there as well as water availability. Any and all info is appreciated.

Used to hunt in Sabinal, which is Uvalde County right on the change from Hill Country to South Texas brush country.

We saw tons of animals of every variety: Deer, pigs, turkeys, bobcats, yotes, etc.

I think you'll be better overall in Real County because you'll have Axis, but the WT deer will be smaller. We still had the S. Texas body size in Sabinal. They start shrinking as you go North.

I love Real county. We have 3 smaller places there. Lots of game. Plenty of exotics. Beautiful part of Texas.
