Well Im a novice turkey hunter to say the least, and Ive been getting my rear end handed to me for this whole season here in Nebraska. But after a ton of time and presictance I dropped this big public land tom this afternoon! He has come well earned!

Shot my first turkey near Chadron Ne. in 1963, when I was about 18 yrs. old and just started college there. My girlfriend there tried to bake it up for us like you would a domestic bird, and you could probably bounce those drumsticks off the floor. The breast meat and stuffing was pretty good though. That's what we make memories for...so us old guys have something to look back and reminisce on. We sure made a mess in a buddy's apartment plucking feathers out of that old Tom.
