 Was driving along our property when I stopped so my buddy could answer a phone call. Looked over on the side of the trail and saw this guy. Any ideas on what kind of lizard it is?

I have a male and female around the house here. I'll see babies occasionally. They are cool lizards.I have to keep the dogs away from them, they like to try to catch them.

Called then "tree lizards" or "fence lizards" growing up...... Yep, got them all over my yard. Pulled into the drive one day and a Mississippi Kite flashed by and grabbed a big one off a tree branch then commenced to eat him where I was close enough to watch. Pretty cool.
Shoot. Eat. Repeat.
